Rheims

Reims, a centre for art and history, is located 75 km to the west of Buzancy. This town is the largest in the Champagne-Ardennes region, with 33 000 inhabitants plus many students in its various universities. Among the town’s many UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Notre Dame cathedral, the palace of Tau, and the Abbey Museum of Saint-Rémi. Reims is also the centre of production for the largest champagne manufacturers. Many remarkable art-deco buildings constructed during the rebuilding of the city after the First World War still grace the town today.
